Charity News
Though primarily set up to support the rural communities of East
Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk, ensuring children who live there have the same opportunities to dance as
anyone else, we also try to raise as much money for charity and good causes as we can.
We try and do this through raffles and donations from
the show but also from regular non-uniform or 'mufti' classes where the children
can dress up and have a lot of fun while helping those in need.
Since the school began in 1993 we have raised £4,167 for charity.
Last show
The show in 2008 raised a staggering £618. This was divided up between Cancer Care and Make a Wish
Foundation for Children
R.O.C.
We raised £2,189 for Research into
Ovarian Cancer (R.O.C.) over many years but in 2007 the charity was awarded two million pounds (!) by
the government to continue its work and is therefore no longer in need of outside support and has
relinquished its charity status. We raised money for R.O.C through the following events:
